Hayley orrantia is a native of the US. Her main focus is actor, however she is also a singer and songwriter. Most people know her as Erica Goldberg, from the TV show, 'The Goldenbergs. She is, however, a music lover. Music is the first passion she claims; it's something she's dabbled at when she was 9 years old. After she turned 12 years old, music became seriously enough to warrant formal training. When she was 13, she started creating songs. Her debut album at 14 years old. The music hasn't budged to the past since. Orrantia was born in the USA but has Hispanic roots. Though she grew up speaking solely English and has never lived in Mexico she is very satisfied with her Hispanic roots. To preserve the tradition, she's studied Spanish and has written songs in that language. "Hasta Verte," a track that she wrote in Spanish is an example of this. Orrantia was picked to perform for the X Factor's inaugural season in the summer of 2011. Orrantia was selected as a result of the submission of a YouTube video and was awarded four "yes" votes from the jury during the live audition phase at Seattle, Washington. Her initial audition was performing as a solo artist, however in the course of "Hollywood Week" and three other female performers were placed in an ensemble to go through the auditions. They were eliminated during the fifth week in the Live performance.
