Silk is a born in Canada academic. Silk was born in Fredericton. She was the daughter of Peter Silk, a professor, and Ilkay, a playwright and director, who also became famous for her acting. One of Anna's first memories were playing rehearsals with her mother and watching her perform. Silk appeared in several commercials while she was young. Silk graduated from St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas produced at least Two early productions: Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk was able to move from Toronto in the month of November 1999, and moved to Los Angeles during the next decade. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007 when they met at an actor'sworkshop at Los Angeles. After getting engaged in 2008, they married in 2009. The couple reaffirmed their vows the 10th of April in Fredericton at a Jewish ceremony following her conversion to Jewish.
